The CUET UG is an entrance exam which is national level conducted by NTA (National Testing Agency). This exam aims to streamline admissions into undergraduate programs across various state, private, central and deemed universities. In 2024, CUET will continue its role in facilitating admissions with over 14 lakh applicants vying for around 3 lakh seats. The CUET UG 2024 application form which is online will commence in February. The exam was scheduled in May month and conducted in multiple shifts across over 500 centers all over India. CUET UG 2024 Selection Process
- The candidates when the results are out and select the universities which are preferred and the courses based on their category and scores.
- The universities will release the CUET UG Cut Off Marks 2024 separately. The score of the candidate must meet that cut offs can apply for the admission.
- Then, the aspirant will go for a counseling process which involves various steps.
- The candidates who are shortlisted are allotted seats which the candidate has to pay the requisite fees.
CUET UG 2024 Exam Pattern
- Hybrid mode is there for the CUET UG exam. It can either be online or offline. MCQs will be there in the exam.
- First paper will be Language proficiency in which english is a mandatory language and other language aspirants can select according to their choice.
- Second exam would be of domain specific knowledge which covers subjects relevant to the candidate’s chosen field of study.
- The 3 exam will be of general test which includes current affairs, Logical reasoning, G.K, Analytical reasoning and Quantitative aptitude
- There will be +5 for right answers. And -1 for negative ones.

- When the results are out, the universities and colleges will release the date of the counseling process.
- The aspirant has to put on record themselves on the respective university or college portal.
- The candidate is requested to pay the counseling fees as it varies by the university.
- The candidate has to fill the preferences for the courses and college or universities. They should rate their choices based on the score they obtained and the previous trends of the cut off and category.
- As the aspirant filled all the choices, the candidate had to lock their choices before the deadline. If the aspirant failed to lock their choices which may lead in the last saved choices being considered for seat allocation.
- The candidate has to reach the allotted verification centers for verification of documents. The candidates don’t have to go to some universities as they perform this process online.
- The documents required in CUET UG Counseling process involve the original documents and submit the passport sized photographs, 10 and 12th certificate, Admit card, caste certificate, ID proof, score card etc.
- The counseling fee is INR 1000 for general and INR 800 for reserved Category.
- The merit list of CUET and CUET UG Cut Off Marks 2024 will be prepared based on the category and the scores subject wise.
