RBI Grade B Selection Procedure 2024
- Preliminary (Phase-I) is an online screening test with objective type questions. The candidate must have scored greater than the cut off marks to crack the exam for the next phase.
- Then, Mains is the Phase-II exam consists of 3 papers: –
- An economic and social issue exam which is a mixture of descriptive and objective type questions.
- The writing skills in English of the candidate is tested with descriptive paper.
- Then, there is a finance and management exam which is again a mixture of objective and descriptive questions.
- After passing both the exams, the next stage for the applicant is a group Interview. The interview is of 75 marks. The selection is based on marks of both the exams and this interview session.

Phase -I
- Time of exam – 120 minutes
- Total Marks – 200
- 0.25 for wrong answer.
- Subjects include: English, Logical Reasoning, General Awareness and Quantitative Aptitude.
Phase – II
Paper 1 – 50% objective and 50% descriptive questions in Economic and Social issues.
Paper 2 – its long answer type questions to check the writing skills of the candidate in english language.
Paper 3 – again a combination, half the exam would be of objective type and other half is descriptive in finance and management.
Interview
It includes total marks of 75.
